Red earthenware clay offers a comforting warmth and a subtly rustic texture characteristic of earthenware.
After shaping into a perfectly rounded teacup, it is finished with a delicate off-white matte glaze and fired.
While very simple in design, this cup allows you to fully appreciate its charming, rounded silhouette and the unique texture created by the interplay of clay and glaze.
When held with both hands, the cup's curves feel naturally at home in your palms.
Its off-white hue beautifully showcases the colors of transparent beverages like sencha green tea or black tea.
Beyond drinks, it serves as a delightful vessel for small morning soups or even for presenting coffee jelly or pudding.
We encourage you to pair it with your preferred drink and savor the moment.
Each piece is meticulously handcrafted in our home studio, equipped with a small electric kiln and potter's wheel. Every step, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, is done entirely by hand.
While we cannot produce them in large quantities, each teacup possesses its own distinct character, offering a unique artisanal charm.
The item you receive will be identical to the one shown in the product images.
To protect your table surfaces, the base of each cup is carefully smoothed with sandpaper before shipping.
We continuously explore new combinations of glazes and clays, creating a diverse range of pottery in various colors and forms.
Each piece is unique, seemingly similar but truly one-of-a-kind. It brings us great joy to think you might find a cherished item among them.
We hope you will find pleasure in incorporating the beauty of these clay and glaze creations into your daily life.

*Purchase and Care Instructions*
* Due to the porous nature of pottery, it may absorb liquids, potentially leading to staining within crazed lines or subtle moisture seepage.
To address this, we treat all our tableware with a food-safe sealant. Therefore, there is no need for initial soaking (me-zome). The sealing process requires 2-3 days, so please allow up to 5 days from order placement to shipment. If you prefer not to have the sealant applied, kindly inform us at the time of purchase.
* The glaze's color appearance can vary depending on lighting conditions. It may appear whiter under natural morning light or white fluorescent lamps, and show more reddish or yellowish tones under evening light or warm-toned lighting.
* Cutlery shown in product images is not included.
* Product images are taken and edited to be as accurate as possible. However, colors may appear differently depending on your monitor settings and ambient lighting. We appreciate your understanding.
* As these items are also sold on other platforms, in the event of overlapping purchases, priority will be given to the customer who completes the purchase process first. We apologize for any inconvenience.
* While microwave (for gentle warming) and dishwasher use is possible, vibrations from microwaves and high-pressure hot water jets can accelerate wear. We recommend limiting their use.
* Please refrain from using in ovens or over direct flames.
* After use, wash thoroughly and ensure complete drying before storing in your cupboard to prevent stains and mold.
