Sunlight Needs: Junipers thrive with ample sunlight. An environment offering full sun is ideal. If full sun is not possible, at least a half-day of sunlight is recommended. Watering: Junipers prefer a distinct wet-dry cycle. Using Akadama soil, you can gauge soil moisture by its color. When the soil color lightens, it indicates dryness. If only the surface layer appears dry, watering is not yet necessary. Wait until at least half of the soil is dry before watering.
