European leather typically has fewer scars and blemishes, making it superior in quality and generally more expensive than American leather. • Genuine leather, like human skin, may naturally have minor scars or growth lines. We do our best to avoid these during production. │ Leather Characteristics │ • Slight variations in color depth between batches are natural. Vegetable-tanned leather also darkens with use, developing a richer caramel hue over time. • Natural leather surfaces have pores, similar to human skin. They absorb water, and faint watermarks may appear after air-drying, which is a natural process. The piece is finished with maintenance oil to help protect against moisture and stains. • Avoid prolonged immersion in water. If the leather gets wet, dry it in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. • Light dirt can be gently wiped away with a clean cotton cloth. Deep oil stains are difficult to remove and will fade over time; therefore, please use with care and a relaxed attitude! │ Leather Dyeing │ • The dyeing process for this series retains the handcrafted brushstroke effect. We meticulously test colors to achieve our most satisfying shades and proportions, ensuring each piece is unique. • Dyed items will not fade with normal use unless deliberately rubbed. However, the natural characteristic of vegetable-tanned leather means color saturation may decrease over time. • Undyed leather is close to beige. Its color and markings will deepen with individual use and habits, much like a diary recording our life stories. │ Leather Care │ • Frequent use is the best form of care, allowing the natural oils from your hands to nourish the leather. If the edges feel dry, you can apply leather maintenance oil. • When storing, place in a dry location. Stuff with clean white cotton cloth or old clothing to prevent deformation from pressure.
