Inspired by Dr. Lin's contributions to the community, Laoshanyan Pens has named this particular fountain pen model in its honor. Meticulously crafted from South American Green Sandalwood for the cap and barrel, this pen possesses a unique aroma. Its natural hue, initially a light yellowish-brown, deepens into a richer green over time through exposure to air and sunlight. Featuring distinctive pores and natural grain patterns, each piece is a unique, randomly selected item (this model is perfect for those who appreciate the authentic character of raw wood). It is complemented by gunmetal gray electroplated fittings and a uniquely molded clip design, along with an airtight cap closure. This pen model is available with two nib options: a calligraphy titanium tip and a "Xiao Tang Dao" (miniature long knife-shaped tip), both meticulously ground and adjusted by Laoshanyan artisans from a German Bock #180 (#5) small standard titanium nib. The Calligraphy Titanium Tip is crafted from a German Bock #180 (#5) small standard titanium nib, hand-adjusted and ground by Laoshanyan artisans into a curved, arc-shaped tip. This allows for variations in line width during writing. Compared to steel nibs, the calligraphy titanium tip offers greater flexibility and a more responsive writing feel, providing a unique writing experience. The "Xiao Tang Dao" is created by taking a small German Bock #180 (#5) standard titanium nib and hand-grinding and adjusting it into a knife-like shape (similar to a long knife-shaped tip) by Laoshanyan artisans. This allows for subtle variations in line width, offering a distinct experience from steel nibs and enabling the enjoyment of the titanium nib's flexibility and writing feedback. **Gift Set Includes:** German SCHMIDT K2 converter (ink not included) + a complimentary green genuine leather pen sleeve hand-stitched by a Taiwanese master craftsman (special crocodile leather pattern) + a premium 3952 presentation box. Hand-ground and Adjusted Calligraphy Nib: 1. For the calligraphy nib, it is recommended to start by dipping the nib in ink for writing (do not remove the converter installed inside the barrel to prevent ink backflow into the pen body after writing). Allow some time for the nib to adapt to its characteristics before using the converter for ink filling. 2. The calligraphy nib is created by grinding and adjusting an EF nib into a curved, arc-shaped tip. Line width variation is achieved not solely by applying pressure, but by adjusting the pen's angle. When holding the pen upright, the contact area between the nib and paper is smaller, resulting in finer lines. As the pen angle becomes more oblique or with slight pressure, the contact area increases, producing broader lines. Achieving variation in line width depends on your proficiency (each nib has a certain limit of pressure it can withstand; avoid excessive force to prevent nib damage or misalignment.
