Taiwan Endemic Subspecies: *Celastrina argiolus choephora* Bow Tie Hair Tie

The *Celastrina argiolus choephora*, a subspecies endemic to Taiwan, is also known as the Yellow-veined Blue due to the color of its wings. Its underside is yellowish-brown, with orange wavy markings along the wing edges. It is commonly found in plains and low-altitude mountainous areas. The larvae feed on *Polygonum* species, and adult butterflies can be seen year-round, often observed sipping nectar from wildflowers along roadsides, and are quite numerous.
