This design was inspired by a customer who wanted to commission a key pouch for her boyfriend. She hoped to prevent him from putting keys directly into his shirt pocket, which could damage the fabric, while still allowing him to maintain the habit of using his chest pocket. Thus, the pouch needed to be compact for easy access, yet spacious enough.
