Handwoven Linen Stole [Hōfū*04]
Material: 85% Linen, 15% Polyester
Size: Approx. 40cm x 170cm (excluding 6cm fringe)
This medium-sized stole is handwoven using fine, high-quality 120-count linen yarn, the thinnest available, sourced from a Kyoto-based textile wholesaler. The yarn is dyed in various colors from a bleached white base. Its sheer lightness and crisp yet supple texture allow it to drape softly and comfortably against the body, without any stiffness.
A bordered design features linen threads in pink, violet, and grey, interwoven with polyester fancy yarn. The textured novelty yarn adds depth and character to the fabric's appearance.
The ultra-fine ramie linen yarn, half the thickness of standard linen yarn used in handweaving, is characterized by its minimal fuzz and subtle sheen. With a fine warp density of 516 threads, it creates an exceptionally supple texture. Linen stoles offer superior absorbency, moisture-wicking, and quick-drying properties compared to cotton, ensuring a dry and refreshing feel against the skin. This makes them ideal for year-round wear from spring through autumn.
*Due to the use of textured synthetic yarn, please iron with the iron slightly lifted, using steam only.
*If you would like gift wrapping, please let us know. We offer complimentary wrapping.
