France's Le Pays de France Centennial World War I Illustrated Chronicle
Dimensions per issue: 36*30cm
Pages: 16
Le Pays de France was founded on May 10, 1914. Initially, it was an official French publication for introducing tourist destinations. However, with the outbreak of World War I, it ceased publication in July 1914. Two months after the war began, on November 12, 1914, it was revamped and reissued as an illustrated chronicle specifically reporting on French war efforts across various fronts during World War I. Consequently, with the end of the war, the chronicle stopped publication in 1919, with its final issue dated December 26, 1918. Its existence spanned a mere five years, resulting in limited quantities. Given its focus on World War I and having weathered a century, it is indeed a worthwhile collectible.
The content primarily reports on the war situation of World War I in France, featuring a mix of images and text, along with some century-old maps. Each issue contains multiple pages, which can be framed and collected, holding significant historical value.
