We are committed to producing as little fabric waste as possible.** **Artists Archive Project** a collaboration between production and design with Standard Archives focusing on the production and local artists and Lig focusing on design. All products are made with leftover threads from the garment factory in order to reduce waste from fabric manufacturing. This seat cushion/pillow is made from a selection of discarded yarn that some are over 10 years old. The outer fabric is 100% cotton, making this piece machine washable provided that it is in the laundry bag. The filling is fabric scrap taken from a cutting room in a garment factory. It is one of the products from a collaboration project between Standard Archives and Lig Goods, Artist Archive. Its aim is to introduce a simple way of which designers from different disciplines could come together to make something fun and meaningful out of discarded materials.
