Cozy Mixed-Glaze Mug in Pale Yellow and Dark Brown

White earthenware clay, where the glaze colors are vibrant and the rustic charm of pottery can be enjoyed. A pale yellow glaze and a matte dark brown glaze. This mug is created by combining these two glazes. Where the two types of glaze overlap, a beautiful, glossy amber color emerged during firing due to the reaction between them. This is a charming mug with a wonderfully round shape. The colors are deep, rich, and appetizing, reminiscent of roasted beans or fragrant tea. Ideal for coffee, cafe au lait, or hojicha lattes. It also serves as a lovely cup for a light breakfast soup. Pour in your favorite beverage and enjoy a moment of cozy relaxation. All processes, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, are done entirely by hand in my home studio, equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel. The base of the mug will be sanded smooth for a comfortable fit on your table. To prevent this, all our tableware undergoes a waterproofing treatment with a food-safe sealant before shipping, eliminating the need for initial soaking (or "mezame"). This waterproofing process requires 2-3 days, which is why our shipping period is set at 5 days from order placement. If you prefer to skip the waterproofing treatment, please let us know at the time of purchase. - Cutlery shown in product images is not included. - Product images are taken and edited to be as true to the actual product as possible.
