About the Author
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
Born in Lyon, France, in 1900. At 21, he began his military career as a cavalry officer. At 26, he became a postal pilot. Years later, he disappeared during a flight mission at the young age of 44. His world-renowned work, "The Little Prince," was published in 1943. Other notable works include "Night Flight" (also included in this edition), "Wind, Sand and Stars," and "Flight to Arras."
Beyond being a pilot, poet, and writer, Saint-Exupéry was also a soldier, a husband, and a father, who never forgot the little boy within him. The dreamlike story of "The Little Prince," told through the innocent voice of a young boy, overflows with rich emotion and poetic sensibility. Its pages hold profound philosophies on love and life, offering warmth and touching the heart.
