This vase features a pattern created by intersecting colored lines. It is part of the "net bowl" series.
Thin rods of opaque blue-purple and transparent navy blue glass are alternately applied to the surface of clear glass, then twisted and folded to create an intersecting pattern. The folded sections are visible when looking at the base. Tiny bubbles are trapped within the intersecting colors.
The shape resembles a milk bottle with a small lip.
In the fifth photo, a single stem has been inserted, cut short. The narrow opening makes it easy to arrange stems upright. The vase casts a grid-like shadow.
