Ducks are a beloved delicacy among Taiwanese people.
They are often enjoyed in a hot pot dish called "Jiang Mu Ya" (Ginger Duck).
Though they are destined to be eaten,
if you look closely, you'll find ginger in the pot, ladle, and greens!
Taiwanese people have adopted eco-friendly habits,
like carrying their own chopsticks and straws.
Why not join them, bring your own chopsticks,
and share a delicious meal together?
----------------
The shop name was decided because the sisters' surname contained the character "嶋" (shima, meaning island).
As we researched birds native to Taiwan,
we grew increasingly fond of them.
These birds,
along with the diverse window grilles seen in the streets,
known as "Tiew Chuang Hua" (Iron Window Flowers),
became the inspiration for our designs.
For everyday use,
and perhaps one day, for a trip to Taiwan,
please take them along with you.
