Shā Kūn Yú Huǒ・Enamel Brooch - Orange - Brooches - Enamel Orange

Product Description

This year, we present "City Greetings," a theme inspired by the Taiwan Cultural and Creative Industries Expo held in Tainan. It's our way of greeting Kaohsiung, where we reside, and our neighboring Tainan, echoing the warm, neighborly spirit of local communities. To celebrate Tainan's 400th anniversary, we've specially designed the "Shā Kūn Yú Huǒ" enamel brooch. Legend has it that a celestial carp, banished to the seas around Tainan for accidentally consuming a celestial peach, took form. "Kūn" refers to ancient large fish, and the Tainan coastline, when viewed from afar, resembles a great fish with its back emerging from the sea. "Shā Kūn Yú Huǒ" (Sandy Kūn's Fishing Fire) was one of the Eight Views of Taiwan during the Qing Dynasty, where the lights on the sea and the stars in the night sky mirrored each other, painting a scene of leisurely prosperity and peace. Following this vivid historical narrative, we've transformed it into a creation, carrying the imagination of this great fish since the Age of Discovery. This exquisite brooch celebrates Tainan's 400 years and anticipates an even farther and broader future for the city! We've released two color variations for this brooch: an orange hue, reminiscent of Dutch orange, and a pink hue, symbolizing our hopes for Tainan's future, looking back at history while embracing what's to come. For the packaging, we've chosen two of our favorite Matisse papers, experimenting with a contrast against hot stamping techniques. The layering of hot-stamped colors and embossing lends the brooch a more refined presentation box, further enhancing its collectible value. ➤ Orange | Historical Classic Edition ☛ Paper | German Matisse Paper F6191 (Blue-Green) ☛ Finishing | Hot Stamped Green Gold, Embossed ➤ Pink | Sailing Towards the Future Edition ☛ Paper | German Matisse Paper F6104 (Purple-Red) ☛ Finishing | Hot Stamped Rose Gold, Embossed
