Oval small bowl type, shinogi, lidded

Original vessels created by ceramic artist Morishita Shingo. The lid was created by woodworker Yasushi Shimizu to fit the container. With this combination, a new "lidded container" was created. This time we would like to introduce a small oval bowl-shaped piece. The body of the vessel is made of ceramic clay. It is frit glazed and fired. The contrast between the Shinogi ceramic technique and the light brown of the sketch is a distinctive feature of this piece. When you open the lid, the inside is a pale color. The lid is made of zelkova and the knob is made of walnut. The grain of the zelkova is beautiful, and the color is similar to that of the container. The streamlined knob is also a nice accent. You can also use it as a container for sweets such as candy, sugar candy, and chocolate. Some people said they would use it as an urn. So, what would you put here? How do you use it? ■Material: Container/Ceramics Lid: Zelkova, walnut ■Size: Inner diameter approx. 84-96mm, height approx. 109mm *For a sense of overall size, please refer to the photo with the scale (height 100mm). *The lid is finished with natural oil. If moisture is left on the lid, it will stain, so please wipe off the moisture as soon as possible. Also, do not use a dish dryer, dry in direct sunlight, or use a microwave, as these may cause cracks or warping. Also, the lid is not airtight, so it is not suitable as a storage container for items that dislike moisture.
