The glaze color will vary with the kiln's firing atmosphere, resulting in similar pieces but rarely identical ones! There are many modern methods for crafting wood leaf cups, but I choose to fire with natural leaves directly. The calcium, silicon, and other substances within the leaves fuse with the glaze during firing. The natural curling during the firing process gives each leaf a unique, lifelike posture, capturing a vibrant scene within the bowl. Can be used as a tea vessel (not suitable for Japanese Matcha ceremonies), tableware, a vase, or a water/dregs holder for tea ceremonies...
