Born and raised in Taiwan, I am inspired to create works that reflect the unique people and elements of this island. The red quinoa, domesticated from native Taiwanese plants, holds cultural significance. According to indigenous customs, red quinoa can be fashioned into garlands worn by women during celebrations. It also contains natural saponins, and when planted alongside millet, it helps protect the millet from birds and insects. The wooden frame measures approximately 4 cm in diameter.
