The Gem Buddha has been meticulously selected. Completely free of internal cracks or damage. Has been enshrined in the altar for many years... This year, something has appeared on the Gem Buddha... It is very similar to "Buddha amulets emitting material." In articles published by collectors on Facebook, similar phenomena have been observed with ancient beads. ********************* The Legend of the Gem Buddha in Thailand. A Talisman for the End Times. The Gem Buddha's four-character mantra: "Ma Di Ya Nu" Hold the Gem Buddha at the center of your brow. First, recite the invocation 3 times: Namo Tassa Bhagavato Arahato Samma Sambuddhassa (Recite this invocation 3 times) Then, recite the four-character mantra. Visualize the Gem Buddha emitting light, merging into the center of your brow. You may pray for all your good wishes. It is said that all wishes can be fulfilled! ******************************************************* The Legend of Phra Kiao Manee Chok (The Luminous Gem Buddha) (Compiled and Edited by Wat Phra That Doi Suthep) Master Ajahn Toh prophesied that after the year 2500 BE (Buddhist Era), it would be the era of decline, and the Earth would face numerous natural disasters and man-made calamities, such as earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, fires, and epidemics... various disasters, calamities, and accidents, causing immense suffering and death to humans and all beings. However, those fortunate enough to possess Phra Kiao Manee Chok (The Luminous Gem Buddha) would be able to turn misfortune into good fortune and avert disaster. Master Ajahn Toh dreamt of the abbot of a certain temple in Chiang Mai, Thailand, saying that the sages who created Phra Kiao Manee Chok (The Luminous Gem Buddha) have all passed away. These sages are our prophets, and we should spread the legendary deeds of the sages who created Phra Kiao Manee Chok (The Luminous Gem Buddha) to the world. Phra Kiao Manee Chok (The Luminous Gem Buddha) is sacred, a treasure offered by the gods to Shakyamuni Buddha. Master Ajahn Toh continued, before Shakyamuni Buddha's passing, he often enlightened sentient beings and preached the Dharma. Wherever the Buddha walked, relics and footprints were left behind, leading to the prosperity of Buddhism in those areas. Once, when the Buddha was north of Chiang Mai, Thailand, he felt thirsty and asked Venerable Ananda to fetch water. At the riverbank, Venerable Ananda encountered a fierce dragon obstructing the way, muddying the water and preventing Venerable Ananda from drawing water. When the Buddha learned of this, he went to the riverbank. The fierce dragon immediately sensed the Buddha's profound cultivation and ceased its obstruction. At that moment, clear springs gushed forth from the ground for the Buddha to drink. The fierce dragon also offered its dragon pearls from its eyes to the Buddha, signifying its desire to follow the Buddha and cultivate diligently. The Buddha prophesied that Buddhism would flourish greatly in this place in the future. As the Buddha finished speaking, his footprints miraculously imprinted deeply into the stone. To this day, people can admire these footprints in Chiang Mai as proof of this account. After hearing the Buddha's teachings, the Dragon King returned to his palace. Miraculously, the dragon pearls from its eyes regrew, and they were even clearer and brighter than before. Twelve hundred years later, an Arhat appeared, possessing supernatural powers and revered by beings in all three realms (heavenly beings, asuras, humans, and ghosts). This Arhat, wishing to propagate the Dharma, thought of creating Buddha statues to spread the Buddha's teachings. But should the Buddha statues be made of gold or silver? The Arhat worried that sentient beings might only see the worldly value of gold and silver Buddha statues, and in their greed, overlook the true meaning of the Buddha statues. At this moment, the Arhat's thoughts were known to the Four-Faced Buddha in heaven. The Four-Faced Buddha then manifested as a practitioner and presented a colossal luminous pearl to the great Arhat, stating that this was a precious pearl descended from heaven. Upon receiving it, the Arhat invited sculptors to carve the Buddha statue, but they were unable to. Subsequently, artisans from all over the country came to carve, yet not a single one succeeded. Just as the Arhat was contemplating how to resolve this, the Heavenly Emperor sent seven guardian deities to descend as seven artisans to assist the Arhat. These seven guardian deities, disguised as artisans, worked tirelessly for seven days and seven nights, carving 84,000 nine-colored Gem Buddhas. When the Gem Buddhas were completed, the Arhat and the king of the land rejoiced greatly. Monks from all over the country were gathered for a celebratory ceremony to consecrate these Gem Buddhas. At this time, the Four-Faced Buddha and the Heavenly Emperor, disguised as practitioners, also attended the ceremony. During the chanting ceremony, the Arhat invited the Four-Faced Buddha and the Heavenly Emperor, disguised as practitioners, to offer to the Buddha together. One hundred and eight fireworks were set off during the ceremony, illuminating the entire city. Amidst the smoke and light of the celebration, the two disguised practitioners suddenly leaped onto the fireworks and ascended into the sky with them. The crowd marveled and realized that it was the Four-Faced Buddha and the Heavenly Emperor who had descended. Everyone knelt in reverence, thanking the Buddha and all the heavens for their blessings and protection, exclaiming, "Sadhu! Sadhu!" At this moment, the Arhat sprinkled holy water on the ground, and a great rain fell upon the city. After the ceremony concluded, people dug 56 holes around the city and placed the 84,000 Gem Buddhas into 56 urns, burying them. The celestial beings also instructed the local Dragon King to guard these 56 urns of Gem Buddhas, forbidding humans from approaching or stealing them! And it was prophesied that after the year 2500 BE, these Gem Buddhas would be gradually unearthed by future generations, serving as refuge for all virtuous men and women. Those who obtain them through affinity will surely turn misfortune into good fortune, live in abundance, and have continuous wealth. Besides being spared from all calamities, they will also receive the blessings of deities and Buddhas. Furthermore, Buddhism will continue to flourish and spread until the year 5000 BE. During Master Ajahn Toh's many years of arduous cultivation in the deep mountains and dense forests, the Four-Faced Buddha frequently appeared to impart many Dharma secrets and methods for carving Buddha statues to the Master. Thus, Master Ajahn Toh's carvings are also very renowned, executed with divine skill. Besides informing the Master of the legend of Phra Kiao Manee Chok (The Luminous Gem Buddha), the Four-Faced Buddha also instructed the Master to retrieve five urns of Gem Buddhas for safekeeping. In the future era of decline, these could help preserve the Dharma until the year 5000 BE. Master Ajahn Toh and his disciples, following the Four-Faced Buddha's instructions, went to the ancient city north of Chiang Mai to retrieve the five urns of Gem Buddhas. There, they encountered the guarding Dragon King, who spewed poisonous fire at the Master and his disciples. At this moment, Master Ajahn Toh silently chanted the name of the Four-Faced Buddha. The Dragon King's poisonous fire could not harm them. The Master then explained to the Dragon King that he had received permission from the Four-Faced Buddha to retrieve the five urns of Gem Buddhas. If the Dragon King did not believe him, he should recite the Sanskrit phrase "Chinnapangjara." Upon hearing the mantra, the Dragon King immediately believed and handed over the five urns of Gem Buddhas to the Master. The Master later brought the Gem Buddhas back to the temple for enshrinement and instructed the ghost wife, Mae Nak, to guard them, preventing those with greedy intentions from approaching. For Mae Nak would often manifest a terrifying form to frighten away those with greedy intentions who wished to steal the Gem Buddhas. Before his passing, the Master hid these five urns of Gem Buddhas in the roof beams of the temple. More than a hundred years later, the Master appeared in a dream to the old abbot of the temple, asking the old abbot to keep them safe. Before his passing, the old abbot instructed the current abbot to offer these five urns of Gem Buddhas to virtuous devotees. ************************************ Postscript to the Legend of the Gem Buddha Phra Kiao Manee Chok (The Luminous Gem Buddha) has a history of over a thousand years. It was created by celestial beings working together to offer to the Buddha. It is the most precious treasure of Buddhism. It is the refuge for beings in the three realms. Many devotees enshrine this image, and those who do so with sincerity often experience its blessings. Once, a devotee saw a book from a temple introducing the Gem Buddha and read about its miraculous deeds, initially doubting the accounts as fabricated. However, upon seeing the photograph of the Gem Buddha in the book, they felt a profound sense of solemnity. They sincerely worshipped the image in the photograph and made a wish. At that moment, they suddenly saw red light emanating from the Gem Buddha in the book. They immediately called the temple to inquire about obtaining a Gem Buddha. This is a true event, with many witnesses in Thailand. Thai scientists have also conducted research on the Gem Buddha. During various tests in the laboratory, they observed light emanating from the Gem Buddha. In addition to sensing its powerful magnetic field, they detected six colors of light emerging from it. Archaeologists, based on soil layer analysis from the excavation site using vertical drilling, dated the soil to over 2000 years old. A devotee immersed the Gem Buddha in water, recited mantras, and drank it, miraculously healing gout that had troubled them for over ten years. Using the Gem Buddha for meditation can open the wisdom eye. A Thai writer, hearing the legend of the Gem Buddha's spiritual connection, traveled a long distance to visit Master Luang Por at the temple to explore the mysteries of the Gem Buddha. Master Luang Por offered the writer a Gem Buddha. The writer held the Gem Buddha in their hand and recited the mantra taught by Master Luang Por. Light then emanated from their hand, and they immediately worshipped it sincerely. Master Luang Por told the writer that the donations received for the Gem Buddha were used to propagate the Dharma, build temples, and benefit humanity. Some Gem Buddhas contain relics within their heads. These are currently treasured and enshrined in the temple, not available for devotees to view! 200000-114.01.12
