All stitching is done by hand using the traditional saddle stitch technique, giving your Apple Watch a classic, noble, and elegant aesthetic on the wrist. The strap comes with a metal buckle and connectors, but the Apple Watch itself is not included. Each strap includes two keepers (one of which is fixed). **Premium Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather** This strap is crafted from "Buttero" vegetable tanned leather, produced using cowhide at the renowned Conceria Walpier tannery in the Tuscany region of Italy. Due to its natural tanning process, every hide possesses unique shades and patterns, ensuring each strap has its own distinct character. **Leather Lining** The lining is also made from "Buttero" vegetable tanned leather from the same Conceria Walpier tannery. As the lining is in direct contact with your skin, we exclusively use natural, un-dyed "Buttero" for this layer. **Strap Thickness** The strap is approximately 2.5 mm thick. After a few days of wear, it will adapt and conform comfortably to your wrist. **How to Distinguish Vegetable Tanned Leather** Rooted in centuries of refined craftsmanship and tradition, vegetable tanned leather offers a unique appearance and unparalleled durability. Because the tanning process is significantly longer, requires a lower degree of automation, and relies on highly specialized artisans, the cost of vegetable tanned leather is substantially higher, making widespread adoption impossible. Consequently, vegetable tanned leather accounts for only 20% of global leather production, with chrome-tanned leather making up the remaining 80%. Unfortunately, it is difficult for an inexperienced eye to distinguish the two. However, you can always trust your nose: vegetable tanned leather emits a rich, distinct leather scent. Synthetic faux leather lacks this aroma, and leather produced through other methods rarely carries this characteristic. Over time, the leather will gradually darken and develop a natural, beautiful patina—all unique hallmarks of vegetable tanned leather. **Special Note** Please be aware that leather is a natural product and may feature slight imperfections such as natural scars, stretch marks, or other markings; this is normal for authentic leather, though we strive to select the finest portions of the hide for production.
