The Bank of Taiwan, Tainan Branch
In March of the third year of the Showa era (1928 AD), the first Tainan branch was established at the current site of the Ambassador Hotel in front of Tainan Station. It was a European-style building.
In the thirteenth year of the Showa era, it moved to Ginza Street, located between Hakkincho and Suehirocho, diagonally opposite the Hayashi Department Store.
The original building was used by the China Daily News after the war.
