These are SDGs jewelry featuring Kintsugi, upcycled from Arita ware. We reuse broken or chipped ceramic pieces that would otherwise be discarded, apply Kintsugi, and transform them into accessories. Our concept is to create modern accessories that connect to the future, allowing people to feel close to nature and Japan's enduring traditions, thereby giving new possibilities to these materials. We paired elegant ceramic fragments, where leaf and floral patterns peek through, with blue components. They sway delicately with movement, exuding a refined charm. The sides of the ceramic pieces are adorned with Kintsugi, so the gold accents are visible from the side, adding a touch of sophistication. This work uses a modern, simplified Kintsugi technique. Instead of using genuine lacquer made from the sap of the lacquer tree, adhesive is used for the primary bonding.
