Merkaba console with drawer

The Merkaba board is somewhat thick, quite narrow, and long. The desire to make good use of this board as it is and turn it into a work of art led to the creation of a long, narrow console with a drawer. The tabletop is narrow, so we kept the shape as it was and made the thinner legs sharp by bending them. We added a sliding foot to the end of the leg for stability. The legs on one side have a graceful curve and are inserted into the slightly wider tabletop at the back to create balance. The top of the back leg is slightly protruding from the tabletop and is fitted into the tabletop by pressing it in. The front leg is joined with a dovetail joint and finished so that it protrudes slightly. The drawer box is attached so that it hangs from the wide part. There are two drawers, the lower one can be opened by pulling the bottom edge, and the upper one can be opened by pulling the knob. The front panel has a dot pattern that evokes the image of space. This console has achieved the ultimate in asymmetrical balance. The drawer box is a major highlight.
