At the end of 2024, just before a scheduled business trip to Korea, a sudden lockdown was announced, only to be lifted right before our flight. Upon safely arriving in Korea, we found ourselves unexpectedly trapped in a subway car. Protesters were flooding the platform, pushing us into a dense crowd where it became difficult to breathe and move. Thoughts raced through our minds: "What will happen? Could this turn into a stampede?" We encouraged each other to stay calm, find ways to breathe, keep our heads up, and remain steady to avoid falling. Fortunately, after a few stops, the overwhelming crowd disembarked at Yeouido Station, leaving us shaken and in tears. A few stops later, we exited the subway and unexpectedly stumbled upon Hyejin's exhibition. The cats' languid and serene poses instantly calmed the storm of emotions from our recent ordeal. We, who had been disoriented and frightened, felt grounded once more. It truly made us realize, from the bottom of our hearts, how wonderful it is to have cats in the world. Hyejin's cat creations are a true treasure.
