Vintage handcarved Schwarzwald style holosteric barometer and thermometer

Vintage handcarved Schwarzwald style holosteric barometer and thermometer. This is likely a German item, and it was made for the Dutch-speaking market. Judging by the old Dutch spelling, this is likely a mid last century, or older, barometer. The letters and numbers of the thermometer are handwritten on bakelite. This item is in working order, although the exact accuracy has not been tested. It is in fairly good condition with signs of usage, such as possible surface marks on the wood, and aging, such as oxidation and discoloration on the metal. There is a little more wear along the edges of the wood, especially the left side. There is some dust build up behind the glass. The glass is undamaged. The photographs are a part of the description.
