For the first wash, use regular neutral detergent and wash several times. You can also dampen a paper towel with edible oil and wipe it several times to easily remove any residual gray titanium powder from the processing. Then, wash clean with neutral detergent. The use of edible oil for pressing and the absence of acid pickling mean that residual gray titanium powder is unavoidable. This is a safe manufacturing process for non-toxic pure titanium, allowing for worry-free scrubbing. 2. For burnt-on residue or stubborn stains, gently scrub with the firmer side of a sponge or a soft steel wool brush. 3. The color will not disappear but does not affect safe use. 4. Large, flat shapes are more susceptible to warping when exposed to direct gas flame. 5. Pure titanium easily retains water marks, which is a metallic characteristic.
