About the creation process: Starting with a sketch, the clay is molded, dried slightly, and shaped repeatedly. We create enough pieces to fill the kiln evenly over about a month. Bisque firing takes 7 hours, after which they are wiped with water and individually glazed before the main firing for 12 hours. Some pieces receive a gold glaze and are fired again for 7 hours. As they require slow cooling, we wait about 2 days after each firing before removing them from the kiln. Finally, each piece is inspected, and a pin is attached to those deemed suitable. The current success rate is around 70%. This process requires significant time and effort, but the result is a decorative brooch that combines the tactile feel of clay, the strength of ceramic, the luster of glaze, and the sparkle of gold accents. We believe this is an item that can be cherished for a long time, unchanged.
