These are SDGs jewelry pieces featuring Kintsugi, upcycled from ceramics by Fukukikama, a kiln in Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture, known for its Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki pottery.
We reuse broken or chipped ceramic items that would otherwise be discarded, applying Kintsugi to recreate them as accessories.
Our concept is to create modern accessories that connect to the future, allowing people to feel closer to nature and Japan's enduring traditions, thereby fostering new possibilities.
Delicate freshwater pearls are paired with elegant ceramic fragments adorned with hand-painted floral motifs.
The sides of the ceramic pieces are finished with Kintsugi, allowing the gold accents to shine from every angle and adding a touch of refined elegance.
These pieces are perfect as a stylish accent to elevate both casual and elegant outfits.
Dimensions: 14 x 10mm
Metal Fittings: Surgical stainless steel earrings (fittings cannot be changed)
Weight: Despite being ceramic, they are lightweight and comfortable to wear.
Each accessory is a one-of-a-kind creation, making it an ideal gift.
They are also perfect for presenting to someone special.
*As these are finished, one-of-a-kind items, we are unable to accommodate requests for changes to the metal fittings or for re-creation.
*We will send the item pictured. However, if it has already been sold on another platform, it may be made to order. In such cases, please note that there may be individual differences in color, pattern, and size of the ceramic fragments and natural stones compared to the photos.
*Kintsugi is a unique Japanese traditional repair method that mends broken or chipped pottery and porcelain using lacquer and gold powder. This piece is created using a modern, simplified Kintsugi technique. Unlike traditional Kintsugi which uses natural lacquer derived from the sap of the lacquer tree, this method uses adhesive for bonding.
The Kintsugi parts are made using lacquer (a manufacturer-produced paint, not raw lacquer) and gold powder (brass powder, pearl powder), with UV resin also used for reinforcement.
