Creating identical items from a mold with fixed procedures holds no joy. From design to production, all is handled by MASSANOVAART / JUN TANAKA. The finish, including the form, patterns, expression, and balance of limbs, ensures no two are alike. We hope you will find your unique friend in the world. Everything begins with cutting the material. After cutting to a suitable size and polishing, the main body parts are completed. Holes are drilled for the eyes, ears, limbs, and other components, tailored to the form of the head and body. Each part is then carefully assembled one by one. Utilizing design and processing techniques honed since 1994 in crafting robot motifs, we carefully assess the properties of the materials as we work. These are carefully crafted from blocks of pen barrel material (acrylic resin), the same material used when making fountain pens and ballpoint pens. Everything begins with cutting the material.
