I know a cat, much like the ones in Hyejin's paintings, who always watches butterflies and birds with quiet contemplation.
He lives in a place with vast landscapes, allowing him to see far into the distance. No longer needing to roam, he now gazes at the birds and butterflies from his home's floor-to-ceiling windows.
He watches with such elegant grace, his beautiful fur perfectly symmetrical and smooth, shimmering alongside his white markings.
Flowers bloom, the wind blows, the cat sits, butterflies flutter—it's a perfect picture in our human eyes.
When hung on the wall, it becomes the most charming cat artwork.
We hope you'll find a sense of leisurely contentment with these artworks, just as cats bring.

There's a small story behind why we decided to represent this brand.
In late 2024, just as I was preparing to fly to Korea for a meeting, a sudden lockdown was announced. Fortunately, it was lifted just before the plane took off. After arriving safely in Korea, we found ourselves trapped in a subway car as protest crowds surged. We were squeezed so tightly we could barely breathe, unable to move, practically suspended. My mind raced: What if this turned into a stampede? We kept encouraging each other to stay calm, to find ways to breathe, to keep our heads up, and to stay on our feet. Thankfully, after a few stops, the dense crowd disembarked at Yeouido Station. We were so shaken we cried.
A few stops later, we left the subway and unexpectedly stumbled upon Hyejin's exhibition. The cats' languid and serene postures instantly calmed the storm of emotions from our recent ordeal. We, who had been lost and frightened, felt as if we had found solid ground again.
It truly made me feel, from the bottom of my heart, how wonderful it is to have cats in this world.
Hyejin's cat creations are such treasures.
And so, this unexpected partnership came to be. 🤍

Hyejin's style blends modern aesthetics with traditional Korean techniques, developed through slow, deliberate creation and hand-painting.
We are deeply fond of the retro, nostalgic feel in her works, reminiscent of the folk painting scrolls from Korea's Joseon Dynasty.

Each stroke meticulously outlines incredibly detailed elements, creating artworks that invite prolonged admiration.
Creating art with traditional Korean techniques requires immense patience. The artist applies delicate layers of color, achieving rich textures and deep, saturated hues.
Even the smallest butterflies and grasshoppers are rendered with soul and exquisite detail.

Each painting captures the essence of cats sharing our space. The cats' unhurried, quietly companionable presence conveys the message the artist wishes to share.
Hyejin frequently holds solo exhibitions in Korea and has been creating art for over a decade.

Hyejin primarily uses her own cats as inspiration, depicting them as both mischievous and sharp-eyed—truly embodying the spirited and characterful nature of cats. There's a sense of conflict and harmony, a perfect fusion of tradition and modernity.
She incorporates contemporary styles and characters, portraying the lives and thoughts of animals within traditional art.
She utilizes techniques like 'Gongbi' (meticulous brushwork) and materials such as Hanji (traditional Korean paper), which are less common in the market. This paper lends a warm overall tone to the artwork, while the intricate Gongbi lines add exquisite detail.

This warmth, this unique combination, allows contemporary painting styles to integrate seamlessly.
