Designer and artisan Kojima crafts each piece entirely by hand. The carved areas are coated with a paint primarily composed of Kasyu, and then dusted with gold powder. Finally, it is polished with a special tool (agate spatula) using natural stones, resulting in an elegant and refined golden hue.
