About DuPontTM Tyvek®:
A proprietary synthetic fiber from DuPont, USA, made from HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene). It contains no recycled content, is a 100% environmentally friendly natural material, and is fully recyclable. It has a paper-like feel with distinct layers, is water-repellent, tear-resistant, durable, and washable.
Four Key Properties of DuPontTM Tyvek®:
1. Waterproof: The material is an inherently eco-friendly waterproof fabric, without any applied waterproof coating. Therefore, its waterproof durability is not affected by time.
2. Non-toxic and Eco-friendly: It can be recycled into plastic products. When burned, it produces only water vapor and carbon dioxide, with no toxic gases.
3. Lightweight: Despite its toughness and tear resistance, it weighs only half as much as ordinary paper and can be cleaned with standard washing methods.
4. Stain, Mold, and Chemical Resistant: The fabric is stable, does not decompose naturally, does not mold, and resists most chemical agents. This is why Tyvek® is often used in laboratories.
