This is a second-generation liner for the M1951 Field Jacket. The first generation was made of wool, and after 1952, it was changed to a towel-like synthetic fiber material. It is easy to wash and quick to dry, unlike wool which becomes too heavy when wet. There is a stamp on the green side.
