Porcelain coffee cup, Nerikomi Japanese pottery. Gift coffee lover. - Cups - Other Metals Gray

Product Description

Ceramic cup made in the technique of nerikomi. Material: Ceramics Coating: glazed inside 200ml To create these cups, a unique technology for mixing colored clays, called nerikomi or agateware, is used. The originality of this technology is that the master folds color clays in a certain way to obtain a unique pattern. Paint is not used, the pattern is created only by mixing colored clays or porcelain. The technology is very difficult and requires a lot of time and experience of the master. The compositions on each mug are not random, but conceived by the author and are his developments. This old technology was invented in medieval China to imitate natural agate to create particularly expensive ceramic utensils. In Japan, this technique was further developed and called Nerikomi. All products in this technology are unique and it is not possible to repeat exactly the pattern.
