the taste of memory
The diversity of food culture has led to the continuous development of various food spaces, deducing the vitality unique to Hong Kong.
Traditional icehouses are mostly located in old buildings. They became one of the most popular eating places in Hong Kong in the 1950s, with towering ceilings, ceiling fans, booths, and paper Stone decorations. The preparation of Chinese desserts takes time and effort, but the price is not as high as Taiwanese, Japanese and Korean desserts. Shops that only sell Chinese desserts are becoming less and less. Mushroom kiosks and cooked food centers both began to provide ordinary food to the public in the 1970s, but the former gradually lost its original taste with the arrival of large consortia.
When the taste and space are constantly evolving, will the memory fade?
