Relic from a Bagan Pagoda, Myanmar - Bronze Alloy Buddha Available in Type A, B, C, and D – Four small Buddha statues in a similar style. Excavated from a pagoda in the Bagan region, Mandalay Province, Myanmar. These are Earth-Touching Gesture Buddhas recovered from a collapsed pagoda. The four statues share a similar aesthetic style, imbued with the serene aura characteristic of metal Buddhist figures from ancient temple treasures. Comparative data from foreign websites has previously suggested a 14th-century origin. However, to maintain a conservative approach, a more secure estimation places its age prior to the 16th century. These small-scale Buddha figures, though understated in appearance, are often remarkably ancient. Historically, sets of 108 such figures were commonly placed within pagodas. Consequently, when discovered, similar figures are occasionally found circulating in batches. This piece is a three-dimensional sculpture, possessing a substantial quality reminiscent of Tibetan "Sky Bronze" or "Sky Iron" artifacts. It can serve as a personal protective amulet, or be elegantly displayed in the home or car. Crafted from a bronze alloy. Preserved with intact soil remnants. The surface has not been cleaned, retaining its original unearthed patina. A total of 4 pieces were brought back to Taiwan, available as A/B/C/D. Myanmar enforces strict regulations on the export of cultural artifacts.
