Because it is woven using shuttle looms from over 100 years ago located in Kurashiki, "weaving flaws"—which may look like fraying at first glance—can occur. While this is unavoidable when using old machinery, in addition to thorough inspections at the factory, we continue to make every effort to avoid these when cutting the fabric, and if found, we place them in less noticeable areas. However, as this is a characteristic of the machines, it is impossible to eliminate them completely.
