●This book will be shipped at the end of November.
"Books in the Art Museum: Korean Modern and Contemporary Calligraphy Art Exhibition" is jointly planned by the Yokosan Calligraphy Art Museum (Calligraphy Art Museum) and the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA). MMCA academic researcher Bae Won-jung serves as the curator. The first systematic display of Korean modern and contemporary calligraphy in Taiwan. In view of the fact that there are few complete exhibitions and research on Korean calligraphy art in Taiwan, the Calligraphy Art Museum has cooperated with MMCA to commercially borrow important works of modern and contemporary Korean calligraphy art to be exhibited in Taiwan to present the calligraphy art of different regions.
This book is a special issue for the exhibition, including works, articles and photos of the exhibition related to the exhibition. The special articles include an introduction to the development of Korean modern calligraphy by curator Bae Won-jeong, and special articles by Kim Yi-sun, a professor at Hongik University in South Korea, and Kim Hyun-kwon, director of the Art Institute of Daegu Jiansong Art Museum, discussing the relationship between modern and contemporary Korean calligraphy and modern art. Through the introduction of pictures and texts, we hope to open a dialogue path for calligraphy art in the world of East Asian modern and contemporary art.
