Lokta paper, also known as Nepali paper, is a handmade paper crafted from the bark of the "lokta" plant.
It is remarkably durable, offering resistance to water, moisture, mold, and tearing.
The texture of Lokta paper varies between its two sides, typically with one side being smooth and the other naturally rough.
During the papermaking process, one side of the paper is exposed to the sun as it dries, allowing the fibrous bark to develop a coarser texture. This results in each sheet of Lokta paper possessing a unique, organic pattern.
