🔷 Hand-Building Pottery Experience 🔷 Clay play for everyone! Experience the simplest joy with your own hands! No experience needed, just bring your playful spirit and let your creativity flow! Clay is a wonderfully malleable material. If you appreciate organically shaped vessels, or love to craft forms that bear your unique touch, our hand-building pottery class awaits. Our studio is equipped with an electric kiln. Typically, pottery pieces undergo two firing stages: bisque firing and glaze firing. Once your creation is shaped, it needs to dry completely before its first firing at 800°C (bisque firing). At this point, the piece becomes a sturdy form. The second stage involves applying glazes to the bisque-fired piece, followed by a high-temperature glaze firing between 1100°C and 1300°C. After glaze firing, the work is even more robust. Different glazes or underglazes can add a spectrum of colors and finishes, transforming the clay into a waterproof vessel. 🔸 Suitable for children from first grade and adults. 🔸 Studio provides: Clay, glazes, and tools. 🔸 Please wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a little messy. 🔸 Fee includes materials and firing costs. The studio offers three types of courses: 🔷 Single Hand-Building Pottery Experience: $1000/person Two hours of creative freedom, with no limit on the number of pieces you create. Finished pieces will be left at the studio for drying and bisque firing. You can expect to collect your work in approximately one month. 🔸 Beginners can typically complete 1-2 vessels within two hours. 🔸 Pick-up available at the studio or shipping (additional cost). 🔷 Single Hand-Building Pottery Experience + Studio Glazing: $1500/person Two hours of creative freedom, with no limit on the number of pieces you create. After your single session experience, your pieces will be dried and bisque-fired at the studio. We will then apply the glaze and conduct the final firing before you collect your work. You can expect to collect your work in approximately two months. 🔸 Beginners can typically complete 1-2 vessels within two hours. 🔸 Specific glaze colors or effects cannot be guaranteed. 🔸 Pick-up available at the studio or shipping (additional cost). 🔷 Two-Session Hand-Building Pottery + Self-Glazing Experience: $2000/person Book two sessions at once. First Session: Two hours of hand-building to create your bisque pieces, with no limit on the number of creations. After your pieces have dried, they will be bisque-fired by the studio. You can expect to collect them in approximately one month. Second Session: Two hours dedicated to glazing your pieces. Your finished work will undergo glaze firing, and you can expect to collect it in approximately one month. 🔸 Pick-up available at the studio or shipping (additional cost). 🔸 There must be at least a one-month interval between the two sessions. Your work can be collected approximately one month after the second session.
