After firing, the deep red earth transforms into a color with a deep, stable feel. Glaze is the natural color of the earth, unglazed. Do not use over an open flame. Not suitable for oven or microwave use. . It is recommended to soak the vessel thoroughly in water before use and wipe it dry with a cloth before serving food. This helps prevent the absorption of sauces and oils. . Please wash and dry the vessel promptly after use. . We recommend using a soft sponge with a neutral detergent for cleaning. . If using a dishwasher or dish dryer, please place the vessel securely to prevent damage from vibrations during operation. . Fine cracks may appear on the surface after use. This is known as 'kintsugi' or 'crazing' and is a normal variation in the glaze. . For first-time use, prepare a pot of rice water. Line the bottom of the pot with a paper towel, submerge the vessel completely, and simmer for twenty minutes. Allow it to cool. The starch from the rice will fill the pores of the pottery, preventing future stains and odors. This process can be repeated periodically for maintenance.
