Among these discoveries, what captivated me at first sight were these coin purses, meticulously crafted by Kyoto kimono artisans. ◾️ Product Description I've always been enchanted by coin purses. The satisfyingly crisp "click" sound they make when opened and closed, and the air of elegance and sophistication they lend when held, truly make coin purses the perfect accessory—or perhaps, a charming weapon—designed to elevate one's presence. Teacher Nakamura, a gentleman of quiet demeanor and refined grace, has retired from the ranks of kimono artisans. With his impeccable taste and masterful skills, he selects exquisite kimono fabrics to create these truly unique coin purse designs. - ◾️ The [Black Cat Series], inspired by his beloved feline companions: Teacher Nakamura is exceptionally particular about the materials used for his coin purses. He exclusively selects premium 100% "Tango Chirimen" silk crepe, a fabric traditionally used for kimonos, and dyes it in black. The golden lines are meticulously applied by hand, one stroke at a time, using gold leaf. The inner lining varies with each creation. (This painstaking process is wonderfully challenging for both myself and the artisan...) The playful, spirited eyes, paired with the classic, elegant bag silhouette, are sure to win hearts, whether you're a cat lover or not. ------ The artisan's lifelong dedication is evident in every detail and material choice. For instance, his insistence on using pure, natural silk immediately sets his coin purses apart from those made with synthetic fibers or cotton. Having chosen such superior materials, the teacher gently advises, "Please use it with care; the fabric's texture will become even softer over time."
