While the natural development of a deep, rich patina is part of silver's charm, if the tarnish becomes bothersome, you can restore its original shine by polishing it with the enclosed polishing cloth. Alternatively, liquid silver cleaners available at hardware stores can be used, but caution is advised for items with oxidized finishes or those set with stones. Please carefully review the product's usage instructions. ● Caring for Brass Products ● Brass naturally reacts with atmospheric components, leading to dullness and darkening. It's a simple yet deeply characterful metal that allows you to appreciate the developing scratches and the transformation into a rich, antique gold hue over time. If you notice dullness or discoloration, you can polish it with the enclosed cloth or try soaking it briefly (about 1 minute) in household vinegar, followed by a water rinse. This method is particularly useful for intricate designs with delicate openwork that are difficult to polish with a cloth. Be careful not to soak for too long, as this could cause further discoloration. * Repeated exposure to sweat while wearing brass jewelry, followed by neglect without proper care, can accelerate oxidation and sulfidation of the metal surface, leading to the formation of a greenish-blue rust called verdigris. This can be removed by polishing with a polishing cloth.
