Fringe Flower Tree with Slanting Trunk, Approximately 10 Years Old A rare fringe flower bonsai tree, blooming from March to April. Fringe flowers are deciduous plants. Their petals are long and torn, resembling the tassels on the traditional attire of ancient court ladies. The young leaves can be used as a tea substitute and are also known as "tea leaf trees." Fringe flowers are white, appearing from a distance like snow accumulated on the branches, hence the name "snow flower." They can also exhibit pale yellow or even very light pink hues. During its blooming season, it transforms into the captivating queen of the flower garden, its full splendor resembling a canopy as vast as the clouds. Cultivated by designers for many years, the fringe flower branches slowly. Through pruning, a branch canopy has been meticulously shaped. It will be pruned again before summer arrives. Resist the urge to prune and continue watering. After the Lantern Festival, apply half the usual amount of fertilizer. A week later, prune away any remaining unsightly old leaves.
