Boiled Wool Scarf/
Boiled wool has a fluffier, softer texture that is more skin-friendly than regular wool products. The multi-layered yarn is thick and soft, providing excellent wind resistance. It is further enhanced with meticulously colored hand-embroidered yarn, showcasing exquisite details.
Material: 100% Boiled Wool, Exquisite Beaded Style, Non-Irritating
Size: Approximately 70 x 200 cm (Due to handmade nature, there may be slight variations in size and weight for each piece)
✨ Exceptionally refined, it is even more delicate and soft than standard boiled wool bases. The gorgeous beadwork paired with a gradient of deep purple and brown tones creates subtle stripes. The darker, muted color base prevents it from being too flashy, making it surprisingly versatile with outfits. The beads, sequins, and special exquisite coffee-colored embroidery thread evoke the intricate patterns of a magnificent palace filled with blessings, creating a unique and luxuriously eye-catching statement scarf. It's not just warm; it adds a touch of refined detail to your ensemble.
While Kashmiri scarves from North India may appear ornate at first glance, with motifs like paisley and vibrant embroidery threads or beadwork, they become understated when worn. They leave an impression of color blocks and fragmented artistic ambiance, with many exquisite details to be savored. Therefore, we simulate how the scarves look when worn or bundled into a ball, allowing you to imagine and reference the approximate appearance when worn.
★ A warm scarf by your side, in the car, or at the office, it's practical for blocking wind in winter and cold air conditioning in summer, regulating temperature. It's also essential for travel. This unique handmade shawl/scarf is not just about warmth; it ensures you are the most radiant protagonist in your photos.
Kashmiri wool is a gift from nature, crafted with the meticulous hand of artisans.
The gentlest scarf, the warmest blessing.
Choose the most precious and warm gift for yourself and your dearest friends.
Collection/Wearing and Care Instructions:
★ Each unique handmade wool artwork is crafted by artisans, and each piece is one-of-a-kind.
★ Handmade wool products may exhibit slight irregularities characteristic of handcrafting, unlike machine-made items that are perfectly uniform. There might be a stray thread or minor dye variations. (If severe, it falls outside the scope of minor handmade imperfections and is clearly visible to the naked eye, we will document and explain it. If you are particularly sensitive to handmade characteristics, please consider carefully before purchasing. If you haven't purchased handmade textiles before, feel free to message us for details about the specific piece.)
★ Please do not machine wash wool products. Dry cleaning once per season is recommended. If hand washing is necessary, use a wool-specific detergent or shampoo and wash gently and separately (darkly dyed textiles may experience some color bleeding). After air drying, you can iron at a low temperature with a towel placed underneath (avoid direct sunlight).
★ The items we select are of a delicate, artistic handmade quality, especially cashmere products, which require gentle handling. Fingernails, jewelry, hardware on bags, zippers, and Velcro on clothing can easily snag the fibers, so please handle with care. Cashmere is lighter and softer, but wool products are generally more durable. Our wool is selected from virgin wool and lamb's wool or uses the boiled wool technique, making it softer and more skin-friendly than regular wool. We personally find it does not cause noticeable itching. If you are particularly concerned about itchiness, we will indicate it. If you are very sensitive to itchiness, you can also message us to inquire.
★ An eco-friendly, minimalist kraft paper box will be included for gift packaging, perfect for presenting to your loved ones.
Xiannv Star Selection - North Indian Kashmiri Wool Handmade Scarf/Shawl
Boiled Wool Scarf/
Due to the high altitude of the Kashmir plateau and its lower boiling point, a special boiled wool technique has been developed. Repeated boiling and drying make the boiled wool fluffier and softer, and more skin-friendly than regular wool products. The multi-layered yarn is thick and soft, providing excellent wind resistance. It is further enhanced with meticulously colored hand-embroidered yarn, showcasing exquisite details (can be worn on both sides; one side may have a different color or a lighter shade. The reverse side may have a few handmade yarn knots. If you don't mind, both sides can be worn).
Traditional Kani/
Kani is a classical Indian weaving art (not printing). Traditionally, it was handwoven with wooden shuttles, thread by thread, to create natural motifs like vines, flowers, paisley, and maple leaves. Each piece could take months to complete. Nowadays, machine-woven versions are more common, requiring time-consuming hand-cutting of threads on the back, leaving warp threads visible, resembling impressionist paintings. Some people also enjoy wearing them on the reverse side.
Hand Embroidery/
The embroidery thread across the entire shawl is purely hand-embroidered stitch by stitch. Therefore, it cannot achieve the precise alignment and flatness of machine embroidery, but it possesses the charm of fine handcraftsmanship. Filled with delicate and beautiful details, paired with vibrant vines or the paisley motif representing continuous growth and royalty, it evokes a romantic Bohemian garden feel.
Kalenkali Hand Block Print & Embroidery/
India's renowned block printing technique is combined with hand embroidery. The beautiful and intricate block-printed patterns adorn the entire shawl, with embroidery threads outlining the patterns. The piano-style border at the bottom is also a feature of the Kani-like charm. Experience the richness of two traditional crafts in one piece, filled with exquisite handmade details, making it a collectible item.
