This is a marquetry necklace, a collaboration with Shokayo kiln of Hoshoji-yaki pottery.
It was made by repurposing items that couldn't be sold during the kiln firing process.
With a desire to cherish wood, we used timber from dismantled houses and construction site scraps, creating geometric patterns that highlight the natural texture of the wood.
The finish is achieved with a 100% natural wax blend of beeswax and plant-derived oils.
Care Instructions:
If the luster fades or scratches become noticeable, apply a plant-based oil such as olive oil or camellia oil, then wipe with a dry cloth to restore its sheen.
Wood Types: Crafted using available materials such as cherry, chestnut, cypress, beech, oak, cedar, mizume, ebony, and more.
Metal Fittings: 14k gold-filled
*Please note that the color and wood types may vary between pieces.
