These earrings/earrings feature a tassel combined with motifs of different patterns on each side, made from thread. The thread motifs are created using the traditional Ñandutí embroidery technique from Paraguay, South America. Because the Ñandutí motifs are starched, they are quite firm and hold their shape, allowing you to use them with confidence in your daily life. (Please be careful not to get them wet.) Based on light brown thread, khaki-colored thread is used to create an floral pattern on one side and a traditional Ñandutí pattern, representing "cut bamboo," on the other. Enjoy a subtle asymmetry. Ñandutí means "spider web" in the local Guarani language. As the name suggests, it is delicate handwork made with thread. Patterns are created by stretching a base thread and then weaving or knotting other threads onto it. The embroidery is starched and stiffened, and once removed from the fabric, the Ñandutí is complete. To the touch, it is quite firm and holds its shape with moderate stiffness, while retaining the softness of the thread material.
