Late 19th Century German Empire 800 Silver × Gilded Cake Server | With Original Berlin Presentation Box
An elegant piece of silverware from the German Empire era (circa 1890–1910)—
Crafted by German silversmiths with an 800 silver handle and a gilded blade, enhancing its resistance to oxidation and lending a more refined, ceremonial quality to its use.
This piece was issued by Adolf Kaiser, a renowned luxury jeweler and silversmith in Berlin at the time, and retains its original presentation box with a velvet lining, which is still in excellent condition.
The gold lettering inside the box, "Juwelen, Uhren, Gold & Silberwaaren," is a typical inscription for a luxury silverware shop in Berlin from the late 19th century.
The design embodies an elegant transitional style between late Rococo Revival and Art Nouveau (Jugendstil): the blade features delicate floral motifs and flowing curves, showcasing both exquisite craftsmanship and the romantic artistry characteristic of Imperial Germany.
