This bracelet is crafted by connecting eye-patterned Roman glass, antique Bohemian beads, granulated brass, opal, and a variety of blue beads.
The elongated beads are Roman glass, dating back to the Roman Empire (27 BC - 395 AD). These were originally part of circular bangles, giving them a slight curve. The reverse side reveals exposed openings, through which 18K gold-plated Karen silver peeks out. The Roman glass features an eye motif. Minor chips are present but do not affect normal wear.
(Eye-patterned Roman glass dimensions: 2.1cm width, 0.7cm depth)
The clear, oval beads are early 20th-century Bohemian beads. They bear marks of age, which contribute to their wonderfully evocative character.
(Bohemian bead dimensions: 0.9cm width, 0.75cm height)
The granulated beads are brass beads crafted by the Benin people of Africa, showcasing incredibly intricate details. A touch of verdigris adds to their cool aesthetic.
The pale blue beads are antique Venetian beads, while the greenish-blue beads are Indo-Pacific beads. The roundish beads are made from polished Roman glass.
Opal accents are incorporated, including irregularly shaped blue pieces.
The bracelet fastens with an S-hook, allowing for versatile wear.
This bracelet offers an opportunity to enjoy a diverse collection of blue antique beads from various eras, countries, and styles.
