Fabrics of indigo kimonos, mended many times and faded, materials imbued with the charm of the passage of time. This is part of a creative endeavor titled "Recycled Art" to breathe new life into these captivating materials. It's an SDGs-conscious creative activity.
We've taken a commercially produced cap and remade it by randomly piecing together antique Kasuri (ikat) kimono fabric, indigo-dyed Boro scraps, and denim.
By using fabric scraps that would otherwise be discarded, we give a new life to fashion items that have been loved for years. You'll definitely stand out from the crowd!
This is a Boro patch creation, a remake of a standard cap through patchwork with antique fabrics.
