All stitching on the strap is done by hand using traditional saddle stitching techniques, lending a classic, refined, and elegant touch to your Apple Watch. The strap includes a metal buckle and connectors, but does not include the Apple Watch itself. Each strap comes with two strap keepers (one of which is fixed). **Premium Italian Vegetable-Tanned Leather** The leather used for the strap is a vegetable-tanned leather called "Dollaro," produced from cowhide by the esteemed Conceria Walpier tannery in the Tuscany region of Italy. This unique and beautiful leather features a distinctive pebble grain texture and a two-tone effect, creating a unique and beautiful 3D texture on the strap's surface. **Lining Leather** The lining leather used for the strap is a vegetable-tanned leather called "Buttero," also from Conceria Walpier. As this leather is in direct contact with the skin, we exclusively use the natural, undyed "Buttero" for the lining. **Strap Thickness** The strap has a thickness of approximately 2.5 mm. After a few days of wear, it will conform and mold to your wrist. **How to Distinguish Vegetable-Tanned Leather from Other Materials** Developed over centuries with exquisite craftsmanship and traditional techniques, vegetable-tanned leather offers a unique appearance and unparalleled durability. Due to the significantly longer tanning process, limited automation, and the need for highly specialized tanners, vegetable-tanned leather is considerably more expensive and not widely adopted. It accounts for only 20% of the world's leather production, with chrome-tanned leather making up the remaining 80%. Unfortunately, for the inexperienced eye, distinguishing it solely by sight can be difficult. However, you can always trust your nose; vegetable-tanned leather possesses a rich, distinct leather aroma. Synthetic leather or plastic alternatives will certainly lack this unique "leather scent," a characteristic that is also rare in leathers produced by other tanning methods. Over time, the leather's color will deepen, developing a more natural and beautiful patina – these are the hallmarks of vegetable-tanned leather. **Special Note** Please be aware that the leather used for the strap is a natural product and may exhibit minor imperfections such as natural scars, stretch marks, and other marks inherent to genuine leather. These are normal characteristics of natural leather, and we strive to select the best parts of each hide for production.
